    Open May 1 - October 15

Ten minutes from the campground, tour boats leave regularly to cruise the islands.

Home of the Famous "Crazy Hans Hayride"

A strategic outpost since fur- trading days, Kingston lies at the junction of Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence River. Massive Fort Henry presides on a hilltop above the city, overlooking the lake and up the river toward the 1000 Islands. Costumed interpreters explain early-19th- century military life. Ten minutes from the campground, tour boats leave regularly to cruise the islands.

Its all within easy reach of this KOA, where a sundeck and pool, 18-hole mini golf course and other attractions encourage lazy hours among its treed grounds - except when "Yee-Ha" wagon rides, ice cream socials, karaoke and other events take over, in the season. Visit our doggy playground that everybody is raving about, you and your pet are sure to enjoy it.

Our big-rig-friendly KOA offers level pull thru sites up to 100 amp and also some deluxe sites with concrete deck, patio furniture and a wooden swing set. Come and visit us. "Great People. Great Camping."

We are sure you will enjoy your stay!

The lovely Canadian Thousand Islands Region has been a great change for the Wagners, who relocated from California where their lives were hectic and fast-paced.

Hans Wagner purchased the 1000 Islands/Kingston KOA in the summer of 2000 and relocated with his son, Patrick. The lifestyle change was a family decision, Hans said. Hans was a CEO for a machine manufacturing company, where the business life was hectic and included lots of travel.

"I decided to slow down and smell the roses," he said. They have worked hard to make many improvements over the years, and they appreciate when the camping guests notice and appreciate the changes.

They take pride in providing a gorgeous location with personal, friendly service to each camper. "We take a personal interest in the wants and needs of every camper, and want to give them the best time that we can," he said. The Wagner's continue to welcome more and more returning campers, who make the 1000 Islands/Kingston KOA their vacation destination.

They appreciate the positive feedback from their campers, and continually strive to make improvements and changes in order to provide an outstanding camping experience. The campground has been a family venture, and son Patrick, who is currently studying in Kingston for a B.A. in Behavioural Psychology, works full-time during the summers. We like to work hard and play hard, Hans said.

Hans and Patrick both love Harleys and enjoy riding in their spare time.
